A Pan-African Initiative

HWEBO African Business Language

Building Africa's future through a unified African Business Language for trade, commerce, and diplomacy across the continent.

The Initiative

What is HWEBO?

HWEBO is a proposed unified African business language designed to facilitate trade, commerce, and diplomacy across the continent. Drawing inspiration from the isiZulu word ukuHwebelana, meaning "to trade with one another," HWEBO reflects a shared African vision of prosperity through collaboration, economic exchange, and mutual growth.

By harmonising Africa's most widely spoken indigenous languages, HWEBO seeks to create a common linguistic framework that strengthens communication, reduces barriers, and supports deeper continental integration.
